The Jokolaira Village on the outskirts of Kampala has been devistated by HIV / AIDS. Most of the children in the Village are being raised by grandparents because both parents have died from AIDS. Some children are being raised by their young brothers and sisters because there are no family members left alive to help. A woman named Rosemary walked miles through the jungle to meet with us and ask us to help by providing money for school for the children. We found the best way to help was to help them help themselves. We began buying pigs and goats for the village that they could have milk and meat and sell livestock for food.
